Five reasons for a visit to a Greater Toronto Area Physiotherapy Clinic
Physiotherapy

Is physiotherapy treatment the solution for you?

Many people are still in the dark about the many benefits of physiotherapy – and are not sure if it is the answer for them. It is unfortunate but surgery and prescription drugs have become much better known as effective treatment from an accident, injury or illness.  Physiotherapy, however, can treat a wide range of conditions gently and effectively, either as a complement to – or a subsitute for surgery and medicine.

A visit to your nearby physiotherapy clinic, in fact, can help you ease pain, recover physical strength, improve  all neuromuscular or musculoskeletal dysfunctions.

If you suffer from any of the following conditions, you may require physical therapy:

  1. Sports Related Injuries: Sports or exercise injuries can be the result of training mishaps, incorrect warm up methods, trauma from a fall or other accidents. They require a combination of manual therapies, pain and swelling management, taping and custom exercise programs
  2. Chronic Diseases such as Arthritis and Osteoarthritis: Osteoarthritis occurs when the joint cartilage covering the ends of the bone wears away. Arthritis means inflammation of the joints. There is distinct pain and difficulty moving with these conditions. Physio is an excellent way to relieve the pain, strengthen muscles and improve mobility
  3. Balance or Mobility Problems: If you have experienced a head injury, brain condition, or trauma resulting from an accident, you may be having balance and mobility problems. Physio is an excellent solution to treat this condition.
  4. Sprains and Muscle Injuries: These injuries can result from slip and fall accidents, repetitive motion injuries, and other incidents causing a physical injury. This can include such injured areas as the arms, shoulder, knees, feet, ankles, hand and wrist problems such as carpal tunnel syndrome and tendinitis. Neck pain is also an area that can be treated with physical therapy.
  5. Lower Back Pain: Back pain can result from muscle strains, ligament strains, herniated discs, spinal stenosis, osteoporosis, Fibromyalgia and more
