Education: Rajiv Ghandi University of Health and Sciences, Manglore, India

My specialties:

Areas of interest:

• Carpal tunnel, tarsal tunnel and neuro-mobilizations
• Tennis elbow
• Ankle, knee and shoulder injuries
• Repetitive work injuries including neck and low back

“I also have a lot of success treating sciatica (sciatic nerve located in the back and relating down to the leg).”

What sets me apart:

“I always try to achieve faster and better results for my clients. Also, I believe in continuing education to sharpen my manual therapy and mobilization skills. After all, physiotherapy is evolving faster than anybody can imagine and I would like my skills to be up-to-date!”

Aerry's success story:

“A 39 year old male came in to see me with complaints of foot pain. During my assessment, I diagnosed him with plantar fasciitis. Further into my bio-mechanical examination, I found out that he had also developed an over-pronated foot and that his foot joint was restricted. I started the treatment with grade II subtacular joint mobilization and concluded the first session with tapping for overpronated joint so that he could continue to run with less discomfort. As he progressed, I incorporated stretching and strengthening exercises along with tapping methods. In less than two weeks, his pain was reduced by 90% and he was discharged with a home exercise program. I re-assessed him after two weeks – and he was completely recovered.”

Three things people should know about our physiotherapy services:

1. “Physiotherapists are independent professionals – that means they can diagnose the problems and do not require a doctor's referrals.”
2. “Not all physiotherapists have equal expertise. Physiotherapists with continuing education experience can better identify root cause of the problem and produce better results in a timely fashion”
3. “Not all neck and back pain are the same – and each patient will need an individualized assessment to discover the root cause of their problem. For example, the sensation of foot pain could be caused by a low back problem, arthritis or a postural issue.”
